I look forward to contributing to our school community by providing ongoing support as a BOT representative. I intend to do so with integrity.

Hi, I’m Kyle Gibson and I am standing for the Board of Trustees for Raphael House Rudolf Steiner Area School.
Angie and I have two children at the school, Sol in class 2 and Zac in the Kowhai room in the Kindy. I was introduced to the school by my wife, a former student of the school, and have enjoyed the philosophy and community of the school since.
I grew up in Ashburton and moved to Wellington with my family when I was 18. I am a technologist at heart and have worked in cyber security and privacy since 1997. I started my own company in 2008 and helped start a software start-up in 2012. I am currently a director of both companies and have a voluntary role as a member of the Industry Engagement Board for the ICT Graduate School. I also volunteer for the Alumni as Mentors programme at Victoria University after graduating from the University’s Master of Information Management programme in 2012.
Over the past couple of years I have focused on the governance of my companies and attended the Institute of Directors, Company Directors Course in November last year.
I am excited by the opportunity to use my skills and experience to help make a positive contribution to the schools governance.
